Iheartteacups have been asked by customer who are trying to decide whether they should purchase a male or female teacup puppy, what the differences are and which gender is better. Well, there is no clear and define differences between the sexes. It really comes down to each individual teacup puppy and how they are raised. We at iHeartTeacups have our own personal dogs, both male and female, and we love them both the same. We have some females who are bossy and wants to play fetch all the time, and is independent and we have some females who want to be on our laps cuddling all the time. Same goes for our males; we have tiny teacup unaltered adult males who are the epitome of lap babies. They are just the sweetest little dogs, who want to follow you around everywhere. Some were harder to potty train, and some were very easy. The gender of the dog didn't dictate any outcome of how well potty training would go, or how cuddly the puppy will end up, or how well they got along with other dogs.

some of the common misconceptions of male VS female puppies (Yorkie, Maltese,
Morkie, Pomeranian, and all the other teacup breeds out there) behavior and
discuss what we have actually experienced. In review about the difference of
the two genders, we will be speaking in terms of generalizations. The overview
of female and male dog traits is like that of generalizations of female and male
human qualities. For every generalization there are always exceptions. Trust
us!
False Belief: Female dogs
are sweeter and more affectionate than males.
Male dogs are just as
affectionate, lively, and attentive as female. Both genders seek your attention
and are very attached to their owners. Sometimes males are a bit less moody
(particularly when neutered) however this does not mean that a female will be
moping around...the heat cycle can bring about hormonal changes that can affect
mood somewhat...She may want to rest a bit more, not be as active during
certain days...or perhaps seem a bit distance or want to cuddle up even
more...However this does not happen with all females, and either gender will
display real emotions: happiness, displeasure, boredom, excitement, etc.
The teacup breed is a very
affectionate, loving dog who craves attention.
Sometimes a male may try to
establish themselves as the “Pack Leader” more often than a female. But we have
had females who are more dominant than the other males she is around. In
either case, training should be implemented to show either gender who is truly
in charge. And that is you, if you are wondering!
Generally speaking, female
dogs may usually come to you for attention (quite a lot!), but as soon as she
has had enough, she will move away. The male dog may be more prone to always
waiting for your attention and staying very close by to receive it.
False Belief: Female dogs
are easier to potty train.
This is completely false. Some
dogs, both female and male, are potty trained with ease while others take more
time and work. The gender of the dog doesn't dictate their potty training
ability. Also female dogs mark just like male dogs do. If they are fixed, that
will decrease their need to mark their territory tremendously.
False Belief: Female dogs
are more submissive than males.
In the dog’s pack group
(this is the group containing both human and canine family members); females
usually try to be in charge. Do we blame them? They are precious and do
deserve to be spoiled! Both males and females can try to establish the pack
order themselves, and this can be addressed by implementing training to show
that you are the true pack leader!
